Any Information on Batting Helmets?
Hi,
I have a couple of flapless batting helmets (from the Detroit Tigers), that I believe were used during the 70's. They retain the original tags from American Baseball Cap in Media, Pa. and have have "Pro-Celd" registered trademark in red lettering above "MADE in USA" on the tag.
I was wondering if anyone had any information about batting helmets such as time frames for origination, when changes were made, ie flapless introduced, flaps introduced, catchers using for protection, model or style changes etc., and ability to zero in on a particular time period.
Any knowledge provided is appreciated.
