Just picked up this 1940's jersey. Could be a vintage Chicago Bears. The problem is, the sleeves have been cut and the Bears wore different styles of jerseys - sometimes during the same season.

Considering those are pre 2005 sleeves I'd say that looks strikingly like a 2004 Toby Gowin jersey with a nameplate change? What exactly do your friends "in" the Jets do? Man the ethics in this hobby can be such a downer sometimes.

Matt (NYjetsfan) is correct ..Jets modified their jersey style slightly in 2005: the underarm gusset color now matches the body color - in this case green; not the white sleeve color as was the case during 1998-2004 period...Likewise the road jerseys have white gussets....so your 'favre' is at least 4 years old.

wow...two of my friends calling me on the Favre! They are both correct. The jersey is team issued (did get it from a friend at the Jets). The name came later...call it a "poor man's" Favre. A jersey that will remain in the personal collection. Sorry I was misleading.....

Just spoke to someone who just sold one Favre's early Jets gamers for $6500.00.
