Thanks a lot guys! I actually once owned a perfect Payton (circa 1977) that had tons of repairs and was almost as well worn as my Anderson. Selling that was my biggest regret...

34swtns- My Briggs stinks too. In fact, I considered washing it when I initially purchased it because the stench was so horrible. Fortunately, the jersey case that encases it keeps the stench inside and washing (or treating it with Febreeze) wasn't neccesary. I also have unwashed jerseys of Benson, Harris and Muhammad, but none of those smell half as bad as the Briggs.

This is an Orlando Scandrick throwback helmet used last year against the 49er's. I haven't been able to photo match this one since he didn't get a lot of playing time in that game so pictures are hard to come by.

This is an Anthony Henry helmet from last year. I think I photo matched this one too but it isn't 100% conclusive so I'm still working on it.

Looks like the real thing. Here's a screengrab from last year's Pittsburgh game that I enlarged. You can see the two "scratches" behind the star on the helmet, which seem to match up quite well with your helmet. The black vertical "smudge" probably happened during the last three games of the season.

Sweet thanks a lot slats. I have a picture that shows the same 2 scratches but the angle isn't very good and there is a glare right next to them that makes it hard to see. The picture you posted is great.

Awesome helmets man! I wish I could get a few nice ones. Dolphins helmets are few and far between it seems. Now that football season officially starts on Thursday, I hope we can start keeping this thread towards the top!

P.S. Lets get some other teams on this thread. It seems the only teams on here anymore are the Cowboys, Bears, and Broncos!
