I am not a Packers fan or anything, and I have seen plenty of great pieces over the years but that might be the best jersey in the hobby, in my opinion. Based on it being a Nitschke, from the years of the Green Bay dynasty, based on it having great game use and repairs but still in nice shape, and based on the amazing obvious photo match. Congrats. Thanks for sharing.
And just when I thought that I could not take one more FREAKIN baseball bat on this forum......you have clearly made my day! Thank you so much for sharing!
Had to come back and look again.
I don't think I have ever seen a jersey with as many obvious, clear photo matches in one photo either, there must be 15 or so, counting repairs, threads, snags, marks etc. All so obvious too. Amazing.
And Nitschke is arguably one of the top five (two?) best linebackers of all-time, certainly in the 60s he was among the top three and Sport Magazine said he was the best, better than Butkus.
thanks man, it IS sweet! It has a few marks, one small tear, but unfortunately no repairs. the only game thus far I've been able to even closely match it to is his first game against the Jets on 9/13/09. I'm going to borrow a friend's blacklight to see if that turns up anything else..
