Mark Grace bat

A few months ago I posted this beautiful 2003 Mark Grace bat that I purchased. I got it from a police officer in Ohio who said that he got it from Scott Service, former Diamondbacks pitcher.


I mailed Service a letter months ago asking him about the bat and how he had gotten it from Grace. Today, I got a reply from Service. He said "he gave it to me at the end of the season".

Not a very detailed response, but definitely goes towards proving the history of the bat.

I picked up one of Jerry Royster's 1977 Braves jerseys several months back. He wore #13 that year but Dave Bristol forced him to switch numbers because he didn't want a 13 on the roster. So I wrote Bristol and asked him about it. His reply: "Stay away from unlucky 13!"
