Opinions about Eric Anthony Bat.
Forum:
I'd like your opinions on this Eric Anthony "Astros" bat. I purchased it approximately 8 to 10 years ago on e-bay as it was described as such. This was one of my first purchases ever on a GU item. It's been pointed out to me that Eric Anthony never wore #25 (during regular season). Just wanting to know if I need to eat a huge piece of humble pie or if anyone can shed light as to why the #25 is on the knob. I realize this bat doesn't belong to a future HOFer but all of your opinions are appreciated.

Re: Opinions about Eric Anthony Bat.
That's a 86-89 model bat, right? So it most likely wasn't used with the Astros since he debuted in 1989 and wore #23. It looks like no one wore #25 for the Astros is 1989.
I would suggest either contacting the minor league clubs he played for or looking for a minor league card that might show his number.
For what it's worth, he wore #63 in 1989 spring training.Brad Ausmus is the Bossmus: www.thebossmus.com

Thanks for your input. I probably should've done more research back then .

I saw him play for Columbus in the late eighties and am almost sure he wore #25. He was a hitting machine and I still have tons of his 1990 Fleer cards that I "invested" in.
