Brian Giles 2001 Game Used Jersey on Ebay

Would be interested in opinions on the following game used Brian Giles jersey from 2001 being auctioned on Ebay. Item comes with a Lampson LoA.

While tagging appears consistent with that year, I noticed that there was no Stargell star patch, which the team began wearing shortly after his passing on opening day (as early as April 13, 2001 per gettyimages).

Hi! I noticed that the jersey does not have the Stargell Star memorial patch on the front upper left, which the club wore for almost the entire 2001 season. Is there evidence of it having been removed? Many thanks and kind regards.
