In Seattle this weekend we had our M's Fan Fest. Overall it was poorly attended as we had very cold weather, snow expected and a competing event at Qwest Field (Home of the Seahawks). I went with my father and my 13 year old son, that was nice in and of itself!

What worked? It was nice getting to do Q&A's with the GM, Coaches and Players. They setup a extension to the store with game used items, and game used items you could actually try on. The interactive things out on the field where really enjoyed by the kids as well.

The "Garage" sale had one item that was awesome to me being a Raul Ibanez fan, game used helmet for $40 bucks pictured below, this helmet must have a story and I plan on asking Raul at the Golf tournament in May as to what it is (He must have been really upset to do this damage). The garage sale also had other issued and used items from common players and coaches that would be perfect for entry level collectors at $40 and MLBA authenticated. I also picked up for $25 a Arthur Rhodes game worn 2007 cap, he was a major part of our 2001/2002 seasons with ERAs of 1.72 and 2.33. He just signed a minor league, post surgery contract so we will so how that pans out in 2008.

On major find for me was a Ben Broussard TBTC 1977 game used batting helmet, I have been watching this item for months in the main store but at $300 was just not worth the spend to me even though he was the hero of the game going 2 for 2 with a home run, winning it in extra innings. When I first arrived they didn't have it out, but they decided to add it since he signed with Texas during the off season and dropped the price to $90, game used helmet from the star of the game with a HR....$90....SOLD. He is a awesome player and seeing him with Texas next season is a bad thing!

Enjoy the images, and look forward to hearing about your experience!
