Seattle Mariners FanFest
Anybody else go to Seattle Mariners FanFest? Instead of waiting in line for autographs, I headed to the Team Store to survey the game-used pickings.
Although there were nice items, the prices were ridiculous. For a pair of David Ortiz game used autographed cleats, it cost $1450. For a Big Papi g/u bat, the prices exceeded two grand.
They had a neat g/u base for $500, as well as some balls ranging between $50 and $100. IMO, balls shouldn't cost over $30. In short, there was a good selection of stuff, but I couldn't bring myself to fork over that much money.
I mean, you can catch balls at a game for free; why pay for one? Also, being a college student on a limited income, I have to save up money for items of the team I truly like, the Houston Astros.Les Zukor
