AROD bat usage
I have a Posada bat the shows some very good game use, but it is not consistent with the other 2 Posada bats I have... it is much closer to my AROD bat.
I have seen some pics of AROD using a Jeter bat, does anyone know of him using a Posada?
Has anyone heard of this before?
thanks,
Bert

Re: AROD bat usage
Shoremen can you post pictures of the bat?
AROD has used Posada bats several times.
Especially during a slump he was having in 2006 he started using Posadas bats and Wristbands for good luck because Posada was on a hot streak.

Re: AROD bat usage
Pics...
the bat has a handle crack about 4 or 5 inches below the slugger label on the left side of the bat... the crack is about a foot long.
there is nothing on the nob or barrel end... the bat has good light coating of pine tar from about the middle of the slugger label to the nob... there are two spots of checking, and the barrel is ahmmered with use... there are also some rack and cleat marks

Re: AROD bat usage
Can you show pictures of the actual handle all the way down to the knob?

Re: AROD bat usage
Shoremen wow this is a hard one.
It could really go either way.
Posada and AROD have similar characteristics so especially with a bat that has hardly any use on it really makes it difficult.
Posada normally pine tars his handle and some times does a criss cross Tape Job, but I have seen quite a few Posada Game Used bats with out tape. Posada also checks his bats with his cleats.
I am not an Arod expert but I do believe AROD uses Mota Stick and also checks his bats with his cleats.
I would say your best bet if you can see it in person as I cannot tell by the pictures if it's pine tar or mota stick that would probably point you in the right direction of who used it.

Re: AROD bat usage
Have you really seen Posada in a game use a bat without a taped handle?
I too have seen some game used bats for sale without the tape, but I haven't seen him use one with no tape in a game. Sometimes the tape is tough to see as it is usually covered in tar.
But, I would be interested in seeing any pics of him using a bat in a game with no tape.
Thanks
Tom
