Re: What Is Your Most Expensive Item?
I was kidding about the Ruth ball. I think a 5 year old would know the difference. I grabbed the photo from Richard Simon's site - and the title of the photo is "eBay Crap"...if you have never seen his site - just Google it.
He is a pretty valuable guy - IMO, more so than JSA, PSA or any of the other "authenticators".

Re: What Is Your Most Expensive Item?
I don't like sending images over the internet (or email) of things over a certain value.
I put the link to my site under my signature - you can see some of my stuff there.
Just explaining why there was sarcasm in my post.

Re: What Is Your Most Expensive Item?
When I saw the title of this thread, I thought it maybe was "The Battle of the Haves and the Have Nots part II". That was a great thread, also known as "The War of the Check Books".
Well, my Uncle Thurston is better than every member of this forum. Not because he is an honorable man. He isn't. It's because he has more money than all of you. Combined. He bought the Mick's 1956 flannel, cause he could. He just used the loose change in his pants pocket. Once, Unkie Thurston cut the power at Camden Yards, so he wouldn't miss an Orioles game. He cut down the nets at the NCAA championship, BEFORE the game. Barry Halper was amazed at the Uncle Thurston collection.
Once, Michael Jordan paid Uncle Thurston, to come to HIS birthday party.
Aunt Lovie also came from money.

"I think your Uncle Thurston got hosed. According to this authentication gizmo I fabricated out of some bamboo and coconut shells, your Uncle is holding a 1960 Yankees flannel, not a '56." - The Professor
