I was offered this jersey before it was put on ebay...i was interested in it because it was offered to me as having loa from the team...

after getting the pictures and the loa e-mailed to me I decided to pass on it because it defintely didn't have a team letter...if you read Lons discription of the history, he can't confirm if the jersey was ever worn...

it does appear, by looking at the rounding of the wilson tag, that the jersey was laundered

Even with the minimal wear if any, that jersey is SWEET!

In Montana's rookie year of 1979, he only started one game at quarterback. His stats for the entire year was 23 passes, 13 completions and one touchdown pass. The touchdown pass was actually thrown during a botched field goal attempt, and Montana's main job in 1979 was simply being the holder during field goals.

I see this jersey sold for a buy it now of $4,999.99....personally I did not care for it as I thought the length was too short for someone of Montana's height. I asked the seller repeatedly for the length, but they did not respond. As for other Montana gamers I have seen which I would have been comfortable with for specs and provenance are these two....
