    vintage authentics mark messier

    I'd sure like to know what Lamspon's experience in authenticating hockey is...hockey collectors are in a pretty tight knit community, and Lampson is the laughing stock of it

    Hi Lund,
    Thanks for posting the link to that gameworn.net hockey thread.

    Needless to say, I would be very, very, very careful before bidding on that Messier jersey. Without seeing it, I cannot say for certain if it is legit or not.

    But as I wrote, we have seen many, many fake Messiers.

    for sure!!!!!!!!!!

    the bottom of the 11's should be just above the top stripe as mark wore a larger (52-54) jersey that was shorter. I have one from 91-92 that is a 54 and there is no evidence of it being shortened, but it is shorter, pretty sweet!
