Andrew - the pine tar application in these pics seems fairly light compared to what Sori usually uses.

Here was my exact quote:

I questioned pine tar patterns and made no mention of how heavy the tar was.

It isn't necessarily the amount of pine tar but the placement. All 3 of your photos show light pine tar but it is all centered directly on the SAM label.

There is a big difference between those bats and the one for sale.

Also keep in mind that the white tape is tough to see as his hands would cover most of it plus white tape against a blonde bat is tough to see in a small low res picture.
