at least this boggs doesn't have numbers on the front like another '98 home boggs that lampson authenticated.

anyway, the sheer amount of 1998 home boggs jerseys out there is astounding. almost incomprehensible. some may think that perhaps boggs simply wore a lot of jerseys in 1998. maybe but if that was the case then why is there a complete dearth of 1998 road jerseys? boggs just loved having a new jersey every game at home in 1998 but not on the road?
anytime there's a huge glut of jerseys of a particular player/year/style, you really have to wonder what caused it. in many cases, it's because they were intended for mass retail offering (eg: scoreboard). in other cases, it's because someone got a hold of a boatload of blanks either from the team or the manufacturer.

secondly, why is there no abundance of 1999 boggs tampa jerseys? just 1998 and just the home jerseys. i've never kept a boggs census report but it seems like you can't spit without hitting one of these things. either boggs had a fetish for 1998 home jerseys or someone got a boatload of 1998 blanks and had them all made up as the most lucrative player. i'll leave it up to you to decide which is more likely.

if you're looking for a 1998 boggs gamer, i'd focus on a road gamer for the simple fact that you won't have to wade in the morass of the 1998 home jerseys and it makes it easier to find a legit 1998 boggs gamer. funny thing is, there don't seem to be many 1998 boggs road gamers around.
