    $425k for Jordan shoes

At least the provenance seems good.

    Re: $425k for Jordan shoes

Something just doesnt sit right with me on this one!!!

1 I could be gullible but i have never seen a non profit organization to sart off an auction so high / remember key word non profit - the idea is to raise money not put there kids through harvard.

2 unless i have been living in the clouds for the past 20 years - when has Jordans autograph been valued at $425,000

3 ( Remember it is $425k ) when raising money isnt it customary to ask "what ever you can spare" not "hey you look like you got some money can you pay for the whole dam katrina problem" oh yeah by the way " the receipts in the mail / don't worry its tax deductable" lmao lmao lmao

Take a look at their other auctions, they have a bid on a $10,000 Jordan autographed basketball and a $20,000 Jordan autographed Wings poster. Needless to say, for charity they may realize higher dollars that most sellers.

The auction for the shoes is neat, because it shows the different shoe sizes Michael wore over his career.

At one of the Super Bowl XL parties Mark Cuban auctioned off a similar set for more than $500,000. I've seen some items go for serious $$$ when booze and charity auctions get combined.

This is a big tax writeoff for rich people. The memorabilia is background noise to these folks.
