Grey Flannel '04 Phillies Pat Burrell Jersey

    http://www.greyflannelauctions.com/L...px?lotid=18279

...this has to be a custom jersey, because the back and sleeve "5"s are NOT the correct ones for the '04 Phils. The correct numeral font is below:

...and upon looking closer, the "B" and two "R"s in Burrell are not correct either.

Nice catch, typical for grey flannel.

After searching yearbooks, web sites, etc., I can't locate a single photo with the same type of "odd" NOB lettering or same style of 5. Here's a shot of the sleeve 5 from 2004, and it too is completely different than the jersey offered by Grey Flannel:

    Howard-
....I've seen that 5 before...on the $29.99 "authentic" MLB jerseys sold every day on E-bay by the Hong Kong sweatshops. That's why I recognized it as soon as I saw it.I guess someone got a hold of one, added a Tug/Pope patch (also available on the Bay) and some dirt....and voila-instant Burrell gamer.

    Joe-

Another telling aspect would be the 0062 tag found inside the left seam. Possibly you or another Forum reader can request a scan of this tag from the folks at Grey Flannel. I've already sent 3 emails on other items in the auction, and have not received a single response. Interesting, however, when I send emails to Mastro, Lelands and Vintage Authentics, a response is usually received within a few hours.

    Thanks.
