nba game balls wanted

hello all- i am looking specifically for spalding nba game used basketballs from the mid to late 80s only. these seem to be tougher to find than i thought! also, if anyone can point me out to a game used pair of larry bird weapon shoes, i would be grateful!! thanks for your time- joe

I know that the NBA used Wilson basketballs thru the 82-83 season and then switched to Spalding. I actually had some NBA Spalding game balls with the Lawrence O'Brien stamp, from the 83-84 season. Do you know if they used those for the entire season or if they brought in Stern stamped balls during the 83-84 season?

Also, how do you tell a 1985 Spalding game ball, from a 1989, from a 1993? Just curious. The 83-84 Spaldings I had were more of an orange than brown.

i always thought they brought in the stern stamp at the begining of the 84 season, but i could be mistaken. is there any way to get a pic of the obrien balls you have? are they game used? team stamp? thanks for the reply!

I had three of them at one time - none had a team stamp. I sold them all.

One is pictured and you can see the LOB stamp in the ad.
