    I'm no expert, but looking at pictures of Al in the early 70's, I would find it hard to believe he could fit in a size 40 jersey.

      Wilson tag should be in the collar and the strip tag should read 40-72-1.
      I think there is a red flag with the Schmidt jersey as well. The wash tag has a ton of use but little throughout the jersey. Just in my opinion.

        The Schmidt jersey has serious problems:

        1. Name in collar is not correct embroidery or correct white swatch material
        2. Name on back is is incorrect-lettering is wrong style and wrong size
        3. Maroon material for the name and numbers is wrong shade. The maroon P is correct, and the name on back and numbers should match.
        4. Size tag rubbed out. I've had dozens of 1986 jerseys, and never seen this before.

        I have contacted the seller with my concerns as noted above, however, not heard back.
