Fake! As bad as I have seen. Also, you would think that the seller could have at least spelled Ripken's last name correctly. Stay far away from this one.

Re: Game Worn 1989 Cal Ripkin Jr. Jersey
why would you say it is fake, you say it is fake but give no proof or point out aspects of the jersey....
i am not saying it is real or not but posts like yours is why the forum gets a bad rap sometimes

The pictures make it hard to tell and one would think if you have a "RIPKIN" LOL jersey you would show full pictures and detail. Thanks

Re: Game Worn 1989 Cal Ripkin Jr. Jersey
The photos are pretty bad, but here's what I can make out from them:
1) Nameplate is too small, and letters look too big
2) Letters and numbers are apparently 3-color (orange/black/white) which looks really cool (I feel that's what the Orioles should be doing), but isn't something they've done, other than on the 1995-1999 alternate jerseys.
Verdict? Bogus, but if it stays cheap, I'd likely buy it just to wear around. I always get a kick out of fake jerseys where too much effort was invested on the sewing, and not enough on the research!Mark
