    Biggio bat

Alright, I've been curious ever since I got this bat but haven't asked anyone about it. If this is in the wrong section, my apologies. Anyway, Biggio ordered a dozen gamers from us his last year and we made them and shipped them. Well when he came to the factory to visit and show his appreciation to the guys who've made his bats for the past 20yrs. He brought with him the dozen bats autographed by him. Now there isn't a mark on these bats, no tape, no numbers or anything. So I'm curious as to what it would be worth? I'm not going to sell it since it's looks so good hanging in my office next to the Bagwell but I am wondering.

It's not quite the same bat, but tristar sells a similar bat for $299.

    Re: Biggio bat

    Brian,

I would disagree with Tigerhidden's post. The Tri-Star bats are replica bats; simply show models. If your game issued bat is a M9, I would value it at $700 to $800 (or at least that is what I would pay). His recent M9s are very highly sought after, yet he has most of his used bats in his possesion, making even issued bats tough to come by.

    Thanks,

Thanks for the post guys. Yeah, I had no idea how it would be considered since he technically never used them or wanted to use them. They were a very cool gift to the guys in my department.

I went to the Derby this year and did the Slugger tour while in Louisville. I saw that Biggio was there right after the season. That was nice of him to give you guys those bats.

    BMH,

I am not sure if it was from the same group of bats, but I do know he gave bats to some of his teammates as well as you guys. I have seen Hunter's bat that he received from Biggio but I can't say I remember exactly what was on the bat.

yeah, I have seen a few of the players bats also. I recall they had some special engraving on them for the 3000th hit. I believe he gave one to everyone player, coach, and staff.

I remember making the ones with the 3000th hit logo on them. He gave those to the store line side of the factory.

I forgot to add, he paid for them all himself. That's something you never see anymore.
