Re: Andres Galaraga NL Bating Title Bat

i have not seen many game used meorabilia price guides or even autographed bat price guides.

I think it is TUSSSTUFF Magazine gives you a brief book value guide every month on autographed basbeballs and bats.

I heard beckett does something similar but you have to buy there annual price guide which is a lot of money, I mean seriously the bi monthly is already $10 anything more then that i think is a bit much to pay for a price guide.

    I hope this helps!!!

Re: Andres Galaraga NL Bating Title Bat

im sorry i didnt mean to be rude or condecending. i have been around this hobby for a long time and i get a bit nostalgic for the times before. regarding the jeter bat for 500 dollars. if ya wanna wait in line for a bat with his signature thats fine, just think of this, you and maybe 3,000 people will have the same "collectable". imho this is not a collectable but merely an investment. when we were kids we used to watch batting practice and wait for the ballplayers to sign on their way to the dugout. i know things change and many dont sign anymore but i think its still possible. i still cherish my scraps of paper with signatures of all the mets ive met as a kid. i can still remember almost each and every autograph, the thrill and joy of meeting a favorite star. like ernie banks scribbling lets play two, or johnny bateman telling us to go steal some hubcaps after we didnt see eye to eye lol. my point being enjoy the game, have fun and collect what you love. i almost forget the time when i snuck into the hotel(otsego? sp) after the 50th anniversary game of the hall of fame. (6-10-89) but thats a great story of a great day. P.S. i begged mrs. dave cash and mrs. rennie stennent for their pass only to get one from a kind soul who remains anonyomous (but never forgotten). Jeff

opps i almost forget what i was aiming to get across. sometimes you dont have to pay anything to get the best collectibles, it comes from what you make of it.

flaco you know what that sounds great and everything but this is 2006, HUGE DIFFERENCE!!!!!!!!! You cant just walk up to AROD before a game its a little bit harder its called fences and security guards and players greed for money, but i tell you what if you know away to change the way of living of collecting baseball ball autographs im all for it, until then it is a money related issue. We all would like to be the guy who snuck pass the 90 year old security guard to get jeters autograph but that time has come and gone. Did you know mantle back in the 80's when he was broke started doing shows all over the place to make money and was charging $25 for an autograph, IMAGINE THAT!!! Just a lousy $25 for a mantle autograph. If I knew then what I knew now I would have spent every single dime I had into his autographs and made tons back now!!!!

ill refrain from answering that one but i think making tons of money is best accomplished by hard work or a good stock broker.

I would be interested in that bat. Please e-mail me and we can talk about it--unless you want to keep it. das1721@cox.net
