"R" on Yankees sleeve
We all know the Yankees never ever have the "R" on the sleeve well I was doing some research for something else and came across this.
This proves anything is possible!!!

Re: "R" on Yankees sleeve
i have a 2000 World Series pinstripe jersey and the black armband on the left sleeve covers the Russell R, has all the proper tagging. Steiner couldn't answer it.

Re: "R" on Yankees sleeve
isnt it common for players to grab whatever is available (ie. nearest jersey, another players bat) on photo day?

Re: "R" on Yankees sleeve
i know in 2002 i could not tell you how many times my jersey went missing when ever a new player would come on the orioles the team would have to take a headshot they would just grab my bat boy jersey because it was the only blank one around in 2003 i was issued about six jerseys because players kept taking them and never returning them
