Check out the view from my seats at the All Star Game....

nice huh? Well actually my seats were so far back that I wasn't even in the stadium. This was the best shot I could get from my view.

Yep, as you can guess, I was one of the many standing outside hoping to get in somehow, but ofcoarse didn't. Some guy offered me his ticket for $900, but then I realized I had a life. I ended up just watching the game across the street at the Yankee Tavern. Cheap food but the TV's weren't as great as the ESPN Zone, which is where I went on the 14th for the Homerun Derby. At ESPN, they actually charged me $27 for chicken tenders and wings,,,,what a rip! I just got up and walked away . The $13 bill at the Tavern was worth not walking away for. Then during the extra innings for the ASG I watched the game from inside one of those Yankee stores across the street (next to the subway) until the game ended. And now it's 5:30 in the morning and I just got home so I'm going to go die and wake up late in the afternoon or maybe I'll wake up on the 18th or 19th. Who else was able to attend the All Star Game? Also, anybody go to the parade? I was at the very beginning of it on 42nd Street. Seeing all those Hall of Famers on the parade was well worth the free fee unlike the people at the All Star Game who paid hundreds (and some thousands) to see the same people I saw earlier in the day.

Kyle - We luckily escaped the rain on Monday during the HR Derby but heard it was going to rain Tuesday night (which didn't happen) so we decided to sell our tickets and head back to DC and also watch it on TV.

My tix for the HR Derby were amazing from Box 34 above the visitors dugout to watch the Josh Hamilton fireworks show!!!

The parties were legendary like the Jeter Nike party at Marquee and the Nike party at Niketown. We did 6 different parties including the Getty Images/Steiner party at Tao with Shaq and Jim Leyritz (lol) and others. Torii Hunter's party at Pink Elephant was a lot of fun too as was the Captain Morgan party at STK which had David Ortiz and others. We had a 4AM party back at our Suite in the Grand Hyatt which was not attended by any players (lol).

That first shot makes me appreciate seeing four players with the stir-ups worn correctly. I like the baseball players who are traditionalists.

    RJ-

Great pics. That moment where the Hall of Famers walked out as a group was incredible.

I will never forget seeing all of those guys in one place.

The closest I got to an All Star was Dinger the Colorado Rockies mascot!

Here are some photos from the Red Carpet Parade

I was at the all star game the whole 15 innings and let me tell you it killed me the next day.

I got some great photos unfortunatley im still stupid when it comes to figuring out how to downsize a pic and load it on here.

I was in upper deck right next to the foul pole for the All star game

And I was upper deck right over first base for the Home Run derby

    Jeter had an after party
David Wright had an after party
Alex Rodriguez had an after party but as the news states it all the people he invited no one showed up, that everyone avoided going to ARODS part because of the controversy circling around him.

Jeter's party was so packed that even Harold Reynolds had to wait to get in!!! MJ arrived in his Maybach with his entourage in a big SUV and then they had a photoshoot with a new Jeter shoe on the red carpet.....I wonder who paid the tab for that party.

Here is a great article on ARod's party: http://www.nypost.com/seven/07162008...rty_120057.htm

I didn't go to the David Wright party but Emil at LR called me yesterday to tell me how great it was.....and I told him "thanks for the invite" (lol)

In all fairness to ARod though, there were so many parties that you couldn't make all of them. We went to Torii Hunter's party at Pink Elephant and it was shut down early as I guess Torii wanted to leave his own party to go to some others.
