Indiana Un. Basketball Expert
Are in your opinion correct the Rawlings tag on this late 70's early 80's Indiana basketball jersey ?
Thanks !

Indiana used Rawlings for a period in the 70s before switching to Sandknit in 1979. Your shirt looks very good. B-T-P-H has an example on his site.

Re: Indiana Un. Basketball Expert
The #40 IU road jersey is not attributed to Glen Grunwald, the player in the picture. IU stopped wearing Rawlings uniforms after the 1975-76, and began wearing Medalist Sand Knit from 1976-77 through the 86-87 NCAA Championship season. The style of the numbers used by Rawlings and Medalist San Knit were very different, and this can be seen directly in team photos. The #40 jersey pictured was actually worn by Jim Wiseman, who wore #40 during his freshman season at IU. The Rawlings tag with the yellow stitching is consistent with another 74-75 season jersey that I have.
