Re: FRANK ROBINSON Game USED or Professional Model Bat?
Yeah, I checked into Frank Robinson's history and noticed that. So can anyone at least tell me if this is a game used bat? Or can anyone tell me why this bat says 'Vanderbilt University"?
Thoughts?

Re: FRANK ROBINSON Game USED or Professional Model Bat?
P.S. Yes, I'm talking about the legendary Hall of Famer, Frank Robinson who played for the Cincinnati Reds during his rookie year in 1956.

Re: FRANK ROBINSON Game USED or Professional Model Bat?
College bat. Colleges could order professional grade bats with MLB players names on them but would have their Schools name burned below the signatue on the barrel. A nice mint example such as a Frank Robinson may fetch $100 more or less.

Re: FRANK ROBINSON Game USED or Professional Model Bat?
It doesn't matter. Frank wouldn't have had a signature model bat contract in college, so it would be worth nothing more if it said Xavier on it. Even in good condition, the bat would not sell for too much ... but in this poor condition, the bat is not worth much of anything

Re: FRANK ROBINSON Game USED or Professional Model Bat?
sprotscentury: If that's the case then is it possible to sell this for at least $5.00-$15.00?
Otherwise, should we look into Frank Robinson's history a little bit more to determine whether he used a bat like this?
Thoughts anyone? I still think more research will be helpful. Although, Frank Robinson went to Xavier University, perhaps someone can shed light on whether or not he went to Vanderbilt?
Anyone?

HARMON KILLEBREW Game Used or Professional Model Bat?
I have a Harmon Clayton Killebrew LOUISVILLE SLUGGER bat. I'm not sure if it's a game used or a professional model bat. Yes, I am talking about the former Major League baseball player who hit a career total 573 homeruns and inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Check to see the images below. Although, it was almost difficult reading the 'Harmon Killebrew" writing on the baseball, I managed to figure out who it was.
Let me know your thoughts.

LOUISVILLE SLUGGER: Pete Rose Vintage Baseball Bat
I figured this was a Pete Rose Vintage Baseball Bat after closer inspection. Although, the 'Pete Rose' writing on the bat is totally faded, there are still some indentions in it that shows it IS a Pete Rose Baseball Bat. Not to forget that the 'PR4' abbreviation on the knob is evidence of a Pete Rose bat. I need to know if this is game used or a professional model bat. Anyone?
