Not sure if I want to get rid of it or not - unfortunately, a lot of would be determined by $$$ (trying to get my bills paid down) - but I do have ONE Sparky Anderson GU piece.
As far as I know, his GU stuff is really fairly scarce, but this piece has some historic significance...
Sparky's GU and AU 1994 Tigers Hat - his LAST Season in the majors (HOF 2000). Signed on the bill and inscribed HOF 2000, it even has the Brass MLB 125th Anniversary pin on the back over the MLB logo and an LOA from the Detroit Tigers.
Again, not sure I want to move it - it would take a serious offer for me to consider it - but I wanted to share it with you.
Your Anderson hat is certainly a cool item, however I wanted to bring to your attention (since you've mentioned it a couple times) that Anderson's last season as a manager was 1995 (not 1994).....I know, because I saw his last game that season as it took place at Camden Yards...It was also the last game for Trammel & Whitaker as a tandem as well....

Bill -
Just looked it up and you are correct. But how did he Manage in 1995 and get elected in 2000?
Does the Veteran's Committee (who elect Managers) not have the same 5 year rule that applies to players?
The reason I ask, is because to be HOF 2000, 1994 had to be his last season because of the 5 year rule to be voted in.
Example (known 1st ballot HOFers) - Nolan Ryan & George Brett. Last Season 1993 - HOF 1999 (Ret Yrs - 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998)
Thanks for the heads up - I was just going by the standard 5 year rule which mathematically would have made 1994 his last year.
Either way, as Yankee said, SA items are few and far between... in fact GU HOFer items are generally few and far between.
If your Anderson Jersey is for sale please email me a price you are looking for at Tjwinnie@aol.com
Thanks!

If Larry sends you prices and if you're not interested in the 1994 BP, please let me know what he is asking. It would be a great piece to display with the 1994 hat.
