Yankees Game Used Items from last game go to Cooperstown

Tue, Sep 23 SS Derek Jeter, C Jose Molina and OF Johnny Damon sent some of their equipment to Cooperstown to represent the Yankees' homestand at Yankee Stadium. The Hall of Fame will display the spikes of Molina, who hit the last home run at the Stadium, and Jeter, who broke Lou Gehrig's Yankee Stadium hits record. The bat Damon used to hit his three-run homer in the Stadium's finale Sunday will also go on display along with several other items from the ballpark.

    Interesting to note:

Johnny Damon used Xavier Nady's bat to hit that homerun.
