Can anyone translate this?
Trying to figure out what "Pecosa" means in Spanish, I've seen Ortiz using batting gloves with "Pecosa" stitched on the wrist and also his fielding glove with "Pimp Pecosa" stitched in.
Would appreciate any help.

I tried old freetranslator.com and it came up with nothing. Some kind of name, but I am stumped.

i think edwin garcia may have been having a little fun with the writer of the article because "pecosa" does not mean "slap". pecosa, or pecoso, is slang for someone with freckles and, by extension, usually a redhead. i have a feeling that in this case the "slap" garcia is referring to might be tied to that redheaded stepchild thing...
