Re: Does this '94 Braves jersey look legit?
Looks to be correct tagging, as in 1994 they had a 2-digit year tag sewn below the Wilson tag, but isn't there a patch missing? It's the 125th MLB Anniversary patch that all MLB wore in 1994.

Re: Does this '94 Braves jersey look legit?
The 1994 125th Anniv patch does play a big role in this decision, but I've came across numerous '94 jerseys from many teams. Some have em, some don't. That leads me to believe that the 94 season didnt start out with the patches on the sleeve, it may have came later on in the season. Who knows?

Re: Does this '94 Braves jersey look legit?
The photo of the jersey doesn't have a close-up of the tag, but from what can be seen in the photo, it looks okay. The main concern would be the missing MLB 125th patch. Not that it isn't legit without it being there, more concerned about it just being missing on a 1994 jersey I was purchasing. At that price, I'd wait for another one to surface on ebay that had the patch. These are not rare, since every jersey had one. McMichael is not a star player, so you should be able to find a better, less expensive example. Just my opinion.

Re: Does this '94 Braves jersey look legit?
Most likely this jersey was recycled and used the next season (maybe in spring training as well). He did wear #38 in the 1995 season.
For that price and that quality of a player, I think that the price is a bit high, but the jersey is legit in my opinion.

Re: Does this '94 Braves jersey look legit?
Not to hijack this but his JoeTorre $1,750 listing is interesting with no Steiner authentication just LOU LAMPSON. There is an obscured pic of the tagging and says it was bought in a well known National auction. It reads:
Game worn 2000 ..JOE TORRE.....New York Yankeesroadjersey........... All proper tagging...Russell Athletic..100% polyester..size 48...tagged YO (year 2000) on left front tail....I purchased this jersey about a year ago or so in a well known national sports memorabilia auction and it comes with a rock solid LOA from LOU LAMPSON......nice example. Have just acquired several high priced jerseys so need to sell some jerseys from the collection.

Re: Does this '94 Braves jersey look legit?
As far as it being used in 1995, the Braves had a sleeve patch in 1995, Braves 30th season patch, and this jersey does not have that.
Nor, as someone else stated, does it have the MLB anniversary patch worn in 1994.
Both were worn in every regular-season and playoff game in each season, the MLB patch in 1994/the Braves patch in 1995, so it is 0-for-2 there.
So that leaves these as the possibillities:
A - a jersey that has had patches removed
B - a jersey worn in spring training only
C - a jersey made for McMichael but never worn

Re: Does this '94 Braves jersey look legit?
Thanks for everyones input. A lot of good points were made. I agree that the price is a bit much. The fact that the seller just extended the auction to 17 days tells me he is having trouble selling it. I'll try to negotiate the price.
