Hi Preston, I'm thinking worn late Dec 06 or during 2007 season. No where else really to look other than under some of the padding to see when the helmet was manufactured - my Hayes had a Riddell white sticker with the month and year easily read.

Found it - "02-06" which is slightly different than what I expected BUT I'm guessing it could have been used in preseason for 2006? This one's tougher than I expected to figure out.

Thanks to forum member 'buc' for getting this helmet to me. '88-'92 era Tampa Bay Buccaneers Reuben Davis #79 game used helmet. Shows great use!

Hello everyone,

sorry if that question has been asked already, but I couldn't find anything.

I am looking to buy an authentic Dolphins helmet, one with the old logo on it. Even though labeled as "authentic" is that the exact same helmet the players wore on the field (except for the customizations like different face masks)? Or is it the nearest thing to an on field helmet they sell to fans (like authentic NFL jerseys)?

The reason I am asking is the metallic white surface the player helmets had. I cannot see that metallic surface on pictures of the authentic helmet I found on the internet.
