Help on Mislabeled Cracked Bat
I just bought a Brooks Kieschnick cracked bat from the Syracuse Chiefs and just received it today. It is a Louisville Slugger, and has his name with Baltimore Orioles underneath his name. I checked on www.baseball-reference.com and he never played for the Orioles or an Orioles affilate. He last played in 2005 as well. I wanted to ask other members on why this bat was made this way then? Was it an error and sent back and used in the minors for batting or regular game used? If this is the case, is it common for mislabeled bats to be used in the minors by minor league players rather than thrown out?
Just curious on what other fellow board members have to say and any personal experiences as well.

Re: Help on Mislabeled Cracked Bat
Thanks for the info. That explains why it says Baltimore Orioles on it. I still think it is stange that the Syracuse Chiefs were selling this bat.

Re: Help on Mislabeled Cracked Bat
Yes, all of our mislabeled bats go into the BPAS racks. That is where the imfamous Derek Jeter "NEW YORK METS" bat came from.
