        I win......Emsley A Laney High School - Wilmington, NC

        Michael Jordan

        Do I really need anymore?

On a related note, they used to have all MJs trophies and one of his jerseys in the display case in the lobby of the gym. It had a bolt type lock on it but the glass was so flexible you could bow it out and the lock would just fall to the base of the cabinet. We would carry around the trophies and wear the jersey and goof off before school started in the morning as it was the warmest place where you could just hang out in the winter. I graduated in 91 and there was never an incident, but I heard that years later the jersey was stolen.

Re: Pro Athletes From Your High School

I grew up in Middletown, NJ. There are two high schools, North and South. I went to North which never has produced a pro athlete, but South has 3 to their credit:

Jeff Kunkel, MLB, Texas and a couple of other teams.
Christian Peter, Nebraska National Champs, NFL, Giants and Bears
Jason Peter, Nebraska National Champs, NFL, first round pick (bust) of the Panthers. Injuries and drugs forced him into early retirement. I went to grade school and played soccer with Jason, we hung out a few times.

I don't think Middletown is proud of the Peter brothers though, Steroids, Rape, Drugs, ect.
          Chris

NY Giants, NY Yankees, Don Mattingly, Mattingly brand bats (any player)

There was a lineman for the Bengals in the 70's who went to my middle school, but I have no recollection of his name.

I once got really drunk and tattooed in Willoughby. Many of my relatives are in the Cleveland area, and we got plastered at a micro-brewery one night. I got a giant cross tattoo on my right arm (thankfully it was a cross)...and spent the night at some dive off of the highway.

At lunch at Benigan's the next day and caught my plane at Hopkins on time. SO - I am familiar with your little town outside Cleveland Metro.

Notables from my high school included Tyrone Braxton and Mark Johnson, leading scorer for the 1980 US Olympic Hockey Team.

Three guys from my sister's senior class went on to play in the NFL, including Braxton. And they didn't even win state!

That's funny. I just wiki'd my high school and a guy I played ball with made it to the majors (Mike Jacobs). Other notables include the Chargers Super Bowl punter and apparently a porn star

My dad went to school with Ronnie Lott and my brother dated Donnie Edwards' sister (former Charger current Chief).

My wife went to school with Eddie Bonine (Tigers pitcher)

The only thing I can note from my personal high school class was the daughter of the University of Wisconsin football team's head coach was in my class. I went to school with her since elementary school.

I am surprised you didn't know this, he was the Mets Top Prospect for a while and made a huge Major League debut by hitting like 4 home runs in a row or something like that in 2 games I think he tied Micky Mantle or something it was all over the New York papers
