    What Do I Have????

Heres one that I thought I figured out but the more I look at it I get more stumped.

I picked up a Yankees Game Used bat of Chad Moeller with Steiner LOA
(so we know it comes directly from the Yankees)
It has the Team name on the bat "Washington Nationals"

Obvious carry over bat from his time with the Nationals

But here is what stumped me.

    THE KNOB
You can see it has #58 on it which has been scribbled off
(Chad Moellers number from the Nationals)

But written under it is "MOE" & the number "2"

My first thoughts was possibly that Morgan Ensberg used the bat hence the "MOE" which could of been short for Morgan
but it also has "2" which could be JETER???

But then I started thinking again and thought maybe the "MOE" was for MOE-LLER
    But then why the "2"????

SO TELL ME FOLKS WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS WHAT DO I REALLY HAVE????

When did Moeller play for the Nationals? I've got him playing for L.A. in '07, using the number 47, and then to the Yankees, where he wore 19. Was he a ST invitee with the Nats in '08, or something like that?

Okay, I can answer my own question, now that I've done the research.

It looks like he went from ST with the Nats to a Minor League contract with the Yankees...so you're going to have to find out what number he wore in ST with the Nats, but also what his Minor League number(s) was/were when he got to the Yankees organization, which is almost certainly going to be different from the number he wore with the big team.

Godwulf as I mentioned he was #58 with the Nats which was written in marker on the knob but the scribbled off with marker.

Might he have worn '2' when he played for Scranton?

It looks like the 2 was written on the bat at the same time the 58 was written. The marker used is the same thickness and color. 2 is probably a reference number for maybe the weight of the bat, 3"2" ounces.

After he joined the Yanks, he took his bats and crossed out the 58 and wrote his name "MOE" not knowing what number he was going to be. The maker used to cross out the 58 and write MOE look to be the same.

    Just my theory though.
