Suggestions on removing Hologram from baseball??? Help!

I just received my Team Autographed 2008 Tampa Bay Devil Rays World Series Baseball. It is very nice with 25 sigs. I asked the seller NOT to put a hologram on the ball.

What does he do? Puts a freaking hologram on the ball!

I took the hologram off, but parts of stayed on the ball, so I put it back on the ball for now.

What can I use to remove the leftover hologram and sticky residue with out harming or staining the ball?

    Please let me know!
    Thank you,
    David

Re: Suggestions on removing Hologram from baseball??? Help!

    I figured it out!

Without using any cleaner or chemicals!

I just used some small strips of scotch tape.

I just kept sticking the tape to the spot and lifting it up. I kept repeating and at the same time moved the tape around and then used new pieces of tape every so often.

It is all gone, residue as well.....

I was very worried about screwing up the ball......

    Worries are gone.....
    Thank you,
    David
