    HBO - Breaking The Huddle

what a beautifully moving and important documentary. i really can't remember the last time i've enjoyed a television program so thoroughly, probably never have. the next time it airs i will be watching it with my young son, something i'm very much looking forward to. just a very well done project by hbo. and icing on the cake - tremendous vintage game footage that includes beautiful shots of classic vintage lids, something that every game used helmet collector is sure to enjoy!

btw i just have to say god bless the likes of jerry levias, bubba smith, darryl hill, wilbur hackett, sam cunningham and their very short list of peers - i just can't even begin to imagine what it must have been like to walk in their shoes as a young black college recruit during that era. and as a father, i just can't even begin to imagine the immense pride and fear that their parents felt.
