Steelers Practice Jerseys At Sideline Store

Hey All,

So while doing some major last minute holiday shopping, I walked into the Steelers store just to kill some time and noticed in the back of the store, they had practice-worn jerseys for sale at $30.00. I purchased 2 of them numbers 89 and 68 (i think they have maybe 5-6 left). They didnt have any rostered players left when I got them, but from what I was told. they basicallly sat dormant there for a while before people bought them over the weekend.

ALL of the jerseys they had showed TONS of use and in fact, on one of the shirts I got, the 6 had completely worn down and was traced over in what looks to be like a sharpie or thick black marker. I guess they really get as much use of of their practice jerseys.

Just thought I'd post the heads up to anyone who was unaware that the Steelers store carried SOMETHING game used.

Do you know what year the 89 is from. I collect UTEP players in NFL and Lee Mays was 89. Please let me know. Thanks, Doug

The shirts have to be within the last 5 seasons I'd say. Based no the jersey (it's a size L) and the fact that it's been shortened I would assume it would be Lee Mays as opposed to Matt Speath (the current number 89 who is around 6'6 I )
