Barry Bonds Helmet!!!

Here is something interesting I found out i dont know if anyone else knew this. I dont know if Bonds did for just this year or previous years
BUT HE DOES NOT HAVE HIS NUMBER ON THE BACK OF HIS HELMET HE HAS HIS NAME "BONDS" ON THE BACK.

So if anyone comes acros buying a Bonds game used helmet from 2006 just know it is supposed to have his name on the back not his jersey number.

Forum readers-
The Giants have been using names (not numbers) on their helmets for years! I can't think of when they even used #'s.

They used thick black Dymo tape with the letters in white.

The Giants have been using NOBs since the late 80s, without exception from what I've seen.

I had a Chili Davis piece from the early-mid 80s that had white numbers on the back. I still have a late 70s-early 80s helmet with the orange bill and logo that has the player's name painted in cursive on the back. It's pretty cool looking.

Thank you guys I didnt know that helmets I have seen always had a number on it, but then again I am not a big helmet collector.

Do you guys know if any other team does it?

The Marlins, Mets and Reds used to do it. The Rockies use them on the brims now. The Angels once had them on the brims. I'm sure there are others but those were the first that came to mind.
