Being mostly a hockey and football game worn jersey collector I get a chuckle when I see a baseball jersey described as being hammered. What is hammered in baseball standards? One that has been washed a million times? If you want to see hammered check out some hockey and football gamers.

I would say a dirt stain on the back/ wash tag almost washed off is hammered by baseball standards.
