Rawlings Gold Gloves
Can anyone help me with values on Gold Glove Awards? I may have the opportunity at a few but I don't know legitimate values. He has a Visquel and Bench (I've seen both and they are the real thing). He says he has 2 others (HOFers), but I have not seen them to confirm. If anyone can help with value and have interest, please let me know via email.
Thanks, Stradermay,

The originals given to the players are worth a few to several thousands each. They rank amongst the most desirable baseball awards.

Re: Rawlings Gold Gloves
A Bench would rank amongst the more expensive, as he is a popular HOFer.
I'd be wary if he is willing to let them go cheap, as the awards given to the players can't be obtained for a fraction of value.

I would check also to make sure it is the real thing, there are sometimes for each award a second one possibly made up.
I believe this is true for the silver slugger awards and/or World Championship awards.
I would also be surprised that Bench doesn't own all of his.

I rec'd the SCP Auction catalog over the weekend and they have two in their up coming auction. Robin Ventura and Mike Matheny. That might help you judge price. At least for the Visquel. I think the auction ends at the end of the month.

Always looking for game used bats from Andre Dawson, Ryne Sandberg, Mark Grace, Jody Davis, Shawon Dunston, Jerome Walton, Rick Sutcliffe, and Greg Maddux. Preferably CUBS era bats.

I have added pictures of the Vizquel and the Generic Trophy. The Vizquel is from '05. The bases measure 6.5 x 17 inches on both trophies.

I was just wondering how people get their hands on awards like this.

I've seen the exact style awards a local sporting goods shops. I think Rawlings makes extras or maybe has mistakes they loan out...? Just saw that same style award today with Ellis Burks name on it. The store manager told me Rawlings let them display it and it wasn't for sale.
