    Tom Jackson (Broncos) Gamer?

    Greetings All

My brother has been given this jersey from a relative who believes it to be a Tom Jackson game used jersey from the early 80's.

I am expecting more pictures today, and will post them when they arrive, however I am posting what I have to see if there are any glaring red flags that would cause doubt. Pictured below are the tags, and the under-arm area, which has a flex panel in between the body and sleeve.

I will be spending the next hours on Patrick Scoggins' website, but if you see something that would indicate thumbs up or down, let me know.

I have received jerseys from this person in the past and they all have proven authentic, however this jersey was not obtained directly from the Jackson (as the others were) and so we are trying to determine if this was in fact a gamer.

I failed to mention that the nameplate has been removed.

    Hi Mark,

Tagging looks to be from 85/86 or later because of what appears to be the 100% nylon flag [has it been cut or is it just curled up? Can't tell from your pics].

TJ's last year with the BRONCS was 86 so from that standpoint it would fall within an ok time frame. Of course there is a lot of other stuff that will go into validating it - but if you can post other pics that could help - and I'm sure Pat will have a lot better insight/thought on it!

Looks like a great jersey. If it pans out and you have any interest in parting with it, let me know! tpkj51@yahoo.com

    Thanks,

    Tom

whoops...I meant to say that type 84 -86 as the years that would overlap TJ's time witht he BRONCS and that type of tagging w/the additional 100% nylon flag.

    Thanks,

    Tom

I was told that the nameplate had been removed. What is was NOT told is that there have been heat pressed letters added.(I wasn't clear enough with my questioning) I would assume that this would be a large red flag against it being a gamer based on my afternoon of digging for info. I am not aware of the broncos wearing heat pressed letters placed directly on the jersey. Anyone else have commentary?

The little white tag under the main tagging was cut. It is not curled or sewn too short.

I am still awaiting pictures of the collar as well as the end of the sleeves. Patrick Scoggins was kind enough to inform me that Jackson altered his sleeves. Thanks Patrick.
