Eric Gagne didn't use Rawlings during that time of his career.....
He exclusively wore "EASTON" gloves.
You can clearly see the "Easton" symbol on the wrist strap in my pictures, and the EASTON letters on the middle finger, back of glove.
If I was into ruining the poor guys auction, I'd ask him to find just ONE picture of Gagne wearing a glove with the red "R" or Rawlings patch on the wrist strap.
But the Gagne signature is a beaut!!!....and by GOD, it's even real!!!

What I was referring to was that he changed completely to "EASTON" gloves from 2003 on.
He did use Rawlings prior, and the picture you posted is from 2002. That is also the year his streak started (August 28, 2002) so essentially there is a chance the glove in the ebay auction was used by him in September, when he also started sporting a "black" glove.
My bad! Not my intention to "discredit" anyone's item. I read more into his description than was there. The seller stated "used during his record breaking years". I took that for 2003, 2004. His 84-straight-saves spanned over parts of three years, so essentially the ebay seller is correct.
This is one of the reasons I like this forum so much. NOTHING slips through the hands (or by the eyes) of this group. I would like to say there is no one more concerned in the hobby than myself in my attempts in "keeping it honest and accurate", but I can see share that commitment with a lot of you here. Thanks for pointing my boo-boo out.
