Re: Nice Stash Of Game Used On AMERICAN MEMORABILIA

i love what they did with the "kirk gibson" helmet. helmet was made in 1990. in '90, #23 was worn by dan petry. in '91, #23 was worn by mark leiter. in '92, #23 was worn by mark leiter. gibson took the number in 1993.
while i absolutely agree that helmets are often used beyond their year of manufacture, i'm curious what evidence AMI has to extend the use of this helmet to 1993 specifically and thus link it to gibson. that is, why is this simply not a mark leiter helmet? did they just keep going until they hit the most lucrative player?
could be the most expensive mark leiter (or dan petry) helmet ever sold.
rudy.

kingjammy24,
Why dont you look up and see what side they batted from. Both Mark Leiter and Dan Petry batted right handed, while Kirk batted left handed. Now i dont know if the helmet is real but i would say their is a better chance that Gibson wore it then Dan or Mark.

Triple X sounds like they're related to James Rast.

Why would you have him sign it period?
I understand having some game used pieces signed....I own some myself. There is a common sense factor though. I would never ruin a vintage one of a kind jersey like that with ink. Get a photo of Musial holding the jersey and have him sign the photo or something.....geesh.

Re: Nice Stash Of Game Used On AMERICAN MEMORABILIA
at least skanks aren't wearing the equipment anymore
The Manning looks nice, but I wouldn't plan on getting a deal on anything you really want with the hidden reserves

I assume nothing without having all the info. However, the "skanks" are a nice selling point. If they came with the equipment, legit or not, I'd probably buy more stuff from AMI - LOL!
In all reality, I have always been weary about buying game used unless its handed to me from the player/agent or equip. manager. AMI and their babes make for good forum discussion though.
TriplexXxSports is always looking for Chicago Bears Game Used

I am a fairly good judge of character..........and I never mouth off, or say derogatory things to people I don't know.
But.........something smells about this whole thread......
