I have all of my bats in the program. First column is the players name, then year, make, model, cracked?, #on knob, sig/block, All-star?, HOF'er? Each in their own column. Then I put them in order by the click of a button. Looks good and really comes in handy when you are wondering what you have or if someone is inquiring about one of your bats!

Plus, its a fun way to see what you have.
    Nate ~

How would you like to become my new bestfriend?? Ha!

I just got out all of my Marty Cordova game used bats this week (about 70+ of them) and have not put them away because I wanted to make an inventory first. I thought of designing a spreadsheet but setting the blasted thing up I know would take me as long as it did to collect them. I'm great at Word but not Excel.

Could I ask you to send me the template you use? I'll promise to send you something in return!

    Thanks!

Re: How many bats in your collection?

    Wait...Marty Cordova used 70 bats?

ok, so I checked (for laughs) and saw that Cordova played in 952 ML games. If you have at least 70 of them (wow!), that means that he used a new bat every 13.6 games. Now, of course there are more bats out there somewhere, so he went through bats at a better clip than one every 13 games... I guess he was pretty rough on a bat. It makes for a good study in how many games a bat actually lasts for a player.

all of my bats were personally obtained from players at games, making my collection small. Just thinking about starting to buy bats.

Re: How many bats in your collection?

When I took the tour at the Louisville Slugger Museum, they said the average major leaguer goes through about 100 bats per season. Based on your number of 952, that would mean there are in the neighborhood of 550 Cordova gamers out there.
