Re: Tejada charged with lying to Congress
Get used to it folks........and thank GOD.
It was so long overdue.
I predict when it's all said and done, most of these "cheaters" will get off fairly easy, as it will be understood that it was going on in a rampant way in MLB. But that's legally speaking.
The real question is........what happens to the legacy of these KNOWN cheats, and the whole era they played in. How will they fall in the eyes of the BBWAA, and the Veterans comittees who will vote the fait of the great ones as their "turn" comes around? How will they be treated by the paying public for the rest of their lives?

Re: Tejada charged with lying to Congress
Palmeiro caused them to go after and investigate Tejada. I never could stand that guy.

Re: Tejada charged with lying to Congress
Tejada pleads guilty to lying, and also to writing a check for $6300 for the juice, but claims he "threw them out". I just don't get it????

Re: Tejada charged with lying to Congress
Strictly speaking about the lying, he should be deported. Any other "less famous" immigrant would be.

Always looking for game used bats from Andre Dawson, Ryne Sandberg, Mark Grace, Jody Davis, Shawon Dunston, Jerome Walton, Rick Sutcliffe, and Greg Maddux. Preferably CUBS era bats.

Re: Tejada charged with lying to Congress
I was offered some Tejada batting gloves by a forum member for $150. Good thing I said at the time "I wouldn't touch them with a 10 ft. pole." You can't get anything for Tejada's baseball cards any more - I had a couple, because I thought the whole steroids thing would be behind him, but then the whole age thing came up. Good thing I didn't pay very much for them.
