112 HRs in a season???
Fantasy Baseball. Chris Shelton hit his 9th homer of the season today (April 17th) in the Tiger's 13th game. While he hasn't set any records yet, in a full season that would equate to 112 HRs in a 162 game season.
Guys like Pujols aren't too far behind as Phat Albert hit 3 yesterday for 8 for the season in 12 games.
It seems almost everyone but Bonds is sending them deep.
Obviously nobody is going to hit 100 HRs in a season, but did they wind the balls tighter????

Funny story (well to me at least.) I was at a Rob Zombie concert last Friday and before Zombie took the stage the people behind me on the floor were discussing whether the ball has been juiced this year. That was absolutely the last conversation I ever thought I would overhear at a Rob Zombie concert.

Mr. Pujols must have read this post before tonights Cardinals game so he decided to tie Shelton with another HR tonight and he did it in his first at-bat which meant 4 straight at-bats with Home Runs!

I hear there's a minor leaguer named Sheldon Pujols on his way to breaking all imaginable HR records, something like 200+ HR's for the entire season.

Re: 112 HRs in a season???
Joe Morgan did a piece on Baseball Tonight on ESPN about the sudden "Power Surge" on Monday night. He said that the reason is possibly baseball compression raised from 90.
I have heard that compression is a huge deal with golf balls.
Anyone see this interview?
