i am looking for some help in valuating this collection. i recently picked up a collection from a very advanced and knowledgeable long time collector of pirates/royals items. i have know/worked with this collector personally for the last 20 years. this collection consists of approx. 400 autographed 3x5 cards, checks, photos etc... all of players who played with pittsburgh pirates. a good many of the autos are from the late 1800's-1920, about 35%, then 20's-60's, about 50%, the rest being from plyers in the 70's-90's, about 15%. there are quite a few players who only played a partial season with pittsburgh from 1890-1920.

i have no idea what these are worth. there are many HOF and all-star players as well as a great many fantastic ball players. i only picked them up because the price was right and it is an awesome assemblance. i only collect iowa, not the college, baseball players, so i am only concerned with keeping players born/died/played in iowa. all of the rest i will most likely part with in the near future.
