If Manny was still unsigned, do you think the Yankees would have pursued him, now that Alex Rodriguez might be out for half of the 2009 season?

My guess is that they would have gone after Manny, if Arod is out, they would need a big bat in their line up.

Bobby, How's things? Actually, to answer your question based on a lot of the breakdown of the Yankee offense I've listened to in the last 12 hours, I do think they may have gone after his bat. To be honest with you, even until yesterday or the day before when the announcement came, I really thought the Yanks were still a possibility. Thought he would be a perfect American League DH.
