CBA Tampa Bay/Rapid City Warm Up Set
Hello everyone,
I am a new member here and would like some opinions on this warm up set. I do not know who wore it but can assume that it is game worn. I have no clue what this might be worth. The 1986-87 Thrillers left Tampa right before the playoffs and moved to Rapid City before winning the CBA title. I think that this is probably from that season since it has Tampa on the back and Rapid City on the front. Any feedback would be great.

Thanks again,

This is a cool warm-up. However, I hope you are a collector, because CBA stuff gets weak prices on the re-sell market. Medalist Sand Knit tags are pre 1985, but undoubtedly reused in years after. No way to identify player with no uni number. Even with a number still near impossible. I want to know who wore #4 for Quad City in 1989. Been looking for several years.

I was offered $75 + shipping. Would you say that is fair?

Re: CBA Tampa Bay/Rapid City Warm Up Set
I don't have any rosters from George's time here. Like an idiot, I got rid of them probably 5-10 years ago. I'm still kicking myself. All I have left now, from that season, is a photo showing 10 of the guys. I have a set of basketball cards from later years, and some rosters from later seasons. On the team photo (from the year you were asking about) you can make out the uniform number on 9 of them. Gervin was not on that photo. However, I am pretty sure he wore #44.
You might want to try and contact Brian Wallace, as he was always at the games taking photos. His info is:

If you ever run across additional QC Thunder gamers, from that era, can you keep me in mind? Thanks."We need rebirth of the American tradition of leadership ... in private life as well." Thanks again. I tried to make contact with Brian Wallace about 5 years ago (found his info on the net), but never got a reply. I will try again. Even though CBA stuff gets low prices, the gamers are rare. CBA jerseys are far more harder to find than NBA. I've sold a few over the years, but kept the QC.
