Re: Brooks Robinson Bat Records
In 1970 B Robby ordered three model E37 35 in / 33 oz. bats (plus six more in 1971) .....There were several additional orders at 34 1/2 inches in length as well
In 1977 he had an order of 35 inch model S44 for eighteen bats with the weight designated as 31/31.5 oz. ...additional 35 inch model S44 bats (twenty-one bats) were ordered at 32 oz, and another three S44 35 inch bats ar 34/34.5 oz.

Re: Brooks Robinson Bat Records
Mike... thanks...
I weighed the S44 and was coming up with 31.2 ounces... so originally I thought it lost some weight over time and was a 35" 31.5ounce bat...
but on the knob, as Brooks gamers had the weight written on them... 30 7/8 is written...
so is my bat a 31 or a 31.5....
As for the E37... do the orders say anything about finish?
thanks againBert

Re: Brooks Robinson Bat Records
Hi Bert---
Regarding the S44, logic would indicate that, with a notation of 30 7/8 written on the knob, it is a 31 oz bat from that order.
Regarding the 35 inch E37, the finish was Flame Burned/Treated in 1970, and Natural in 1971.
